Bus Travel Consultation
 
We are keen to hear about your experiences of travelling by bus, your views on local bus services, what would make bus travel more appealing and therefore make the bus services more sustainable in the future.

The survey will ask you information including your age and employment status. These questions are optional to answer, but would help us understand the different requirements of people wishing to use public transport – travel to work, leisure, shopping etc. The information will not be used for any other purpose. 

We are not collecting any personally identifiable data as part of this consultation. Your response will remain anonymous.

The survey will be open until 30th April 2025.

Improving Public Transport
 
SYSTRA Ltd, an independent transport consultancy, is helping Argyll and Bute Council conduct a survey to understand how residents are using buses in Argyll and Bute and where improvements can be made.

This survey will take no more than five to ten minutes to complete. We are very grateful for any feedback that you can provide, which will help us understand where we can make improvements to bus travel in Argyll and Bute. 
 
Why is it so important?
 
Improving public transport takes more cars off the road and reduces carbon emissions, which promotes a Climate Friendly Argyll and Bute. We know that can’t be achieved without reviewing our local bus services.
 
Why Helensburgh Services are not included
 
Local bus services in Helensburgh and Lomond are not provided or controlled by Argyll and Bute Council. Instead, they are either funded by Strathclyde Partnership for Transport, or operated by bus operators on a commercial basis. For this reason, we have omitted the bus services within Helensburgh and Lomond for the purposes of this review.
